Ms. Padma, Inspector of Police is at UN PeaceKeeping Mission in South Sudan

Ms. Padma , Inspector of Police, Hyderabad City , Telangana State has recently posted on training at South Sudan for a period of one year.

It is very inspiring for many of the officers in the country to have the opportunity to work in a foreign country , learn and exchange good practices in policing. Ms.Padma was selected as Sub-Inspector of Police in 2004 and got promoted to the post of Inspector in 2014.

As part of Department of Peace Operations by UN , which is a unique and dynamic instrument to create conditions for lasting peace. The UN peace keeping missions are held in many countries like Bosnia, Kosova, Haiti, Cyprus and south Sudan.

While her stay in New Delhi for official formalities, she spoke that " It is a unique privilege for any officer to work with a foreign country for a long period. It's also challenging as a woman officer to prove the capability in a new platform that too international." She is grateful to be part of and representing from Telangana State Police . She is a native of Koheda village of Siddipet District. For a question on staying for a long period from family, she has answered that, her family , friends were with her all time, not only supported but encouraged her in her career aspirations. She is thank ful to the DGP, his Commissioner of Police for timely support and permission to appear for preliminary examination for selections.
